Hey travelers, Old Greg here.
For a long time we've wanted to expand what you can do with Worlds, and this week's update does exactly that. You can now create Characters in specific Worlds and package them into Stories—standalone adventures that work like D&D one-shots. Here's how it works.
Stories, Characters, and the Storymaster
You can now create and play custom Stories in OGT. A Story is essentially a D&D one-shot where you create specific Characters in a specific World, then overlay a plot on top of everything.
Creating Stories, Characters, and Worlds now happens through chatting with OGT's new Storymaster—a creation companion designed to help you build epic Stories, Characters, and Worlds. You can still create Worlds by inputting a World Bible, now with a 4,000-word limit instead of 3,000, but Stories and Characters can only be made through the Storymaster.
Once you've created a World and Characters, you can create a Story. The Storymaster takes your Characters and works with you to understand what kind of plot you want to experience—a mystery, a heist, a political intrigue—then helps you create the first scenes and central conflict.
In Stories, you can create a new character like normal OGT or play as one of the pre-made Characters in the Story. It costs 1 credit for every Storymaster session—anytime you chat with the Storymaster to co-create a Story, Character, or World—but once created, any Story, Character, or World can be used unlimited times.
You can also play Community Stories and use Community Characters or Worlds in your own creations.

Download OGT on iOS and Android
You can now play OGT on your Apple and Android devices!
All of your campaigns, credits, and players transfer to the mobile apps - and any progress you make on the mobile apps will transfer back to the web if you want to switch between!
Creator Program
Get paid to play OGT! We’re beginning to pay creators to post short TikTok and Instagram videos to help other potential players find OGT!
There’s no TikTok or Instagram posting experience required, all posting will be on new accounts (so it won’t impact your personal accounts), and current creators are making $100-$150/week and working 60-90 minutes/week.
Discord
Hang out in the Tavern even when you’re not in the Tavern! Join our Discord to chat with other players about the game, find campaigns to join, or suggest what you want to see added next to OGT!
May your dice roll high and your ale never run dry.
Cheers,
Old Greg
