Hey travelers, Old Greg here.
This week brought several major updates: the ability to create and edit NPCs, a new way to regenerate DM responses, several bug fixes, and the launch of the OGT Creator Program. Here's what changed.
Create and Edit NPCs
You can now create new NPCs directly in Campaign Settings and edit all information about existing NPCs in your campaign.
To create an NPC, type their name in the NPCs section of Campaign Settings and OGT will search back through all DM responses to build that NPC based on their historical role in your story.
To edit any NPC information, click the pen icon below their profile picture. You can change their name, gender, description, and backstory.

You can now click the new "Continue" button to have the DM keep generating the story without needing to enter something as a player. It creates another DM response that pushes your story forward. This still costs 1 round.
You can also click the new "refresh" button in the top right of any DM response to regenerate just that specific response. No need to delete your round and re-input your action or reroll your dice if you didn't like what the DM said. Regenerating the response also updates the system's data with only the new version.

Bug Fixes
We fixed a bug with Story Mode that was causing its memory to be far worse than Auto. Story Mode memory consistency now matches Auto's performance.
We also fixed the 404 error when clicking into Worlds and the issue where Worlds with specific starting information were still reverting to starting in Old Greg's Tavern.
Creator Program
Get paid to play OGT! We’re beginning to pay creators to post short TikTok and Instagram videos to help other potential players find OGT!
There’s no TikTok or Instagram posting experience required, all posting will be on new accounts (so it won’t impact your personal accounts), and current creators are making $100-$150/week and working 60-90 minutes/week.
Discord
Hang out in the Tavern even when you’re not in the Tavern! Join our Discord to chat with other players about the game, find campaigns to join, or suggest what you want to see added next to OGT!
May your dice roll high and your ale never run dry.
Cheers,
Old Greg
