Hey travelers, Old Greg here.
Campaigns forgetting key details, losing NPC plot points, or drifting off course has been the biggest problem with Old Greg's Tavern since launch. We've been working on memory in the background for months, and this week's update is the biggest improvement yet. Here's what changed.
Memory Is Much Better
Players are reporting stories aren't drifting anymore. One player even said: "the character just made references to a scene/memory like 500 rounds ago!"
You can now expect NPCs to remember what happened hundreds of rounds back and for your story to progress without veering off course after 200 rounds.
Memory is still a work in progress—smaller details might occasionally get misremembered—but the team is committed to ensuring all story details stay accurate no matter how long your campaign runs.
Remove Players from Campaigns
You can now remove players from campaigns directly in Campaign Settings. Previously, the only way to "kick" someone was to set them as Inactive, but this still let them view the campaign and used a player slot that could've gone to other friends.
To remove a player, go to Campaign Settings and click the X next to their name.

Discord
Hang out in the Tavern even when you’re not in the Tavern! Join our Discord to chat with other players about the game, find campaigns to join, or suggest what you want to see added next to OGT!
May your dice roll high and your ale never run dry.
Cheers,
Old Greg
