Hey travelers, Old Greg here.

Since launch, campaign memory has been the largest player pain point by far. This week, we released three major behind-the-scenes updates to memory, narrative quality, and Dungeon Master response speed that improve the overall OGT experience massively. Let’s dive in.

Improved Campaign Memory

It’s incredibly frustrating when the Dungeon Master forgets where your character is or railroads them into a quest you had no interest in pursuing. Memory inconsistencies have consistently been the biggest problem with OGT and this week we’ve released three major content updates that focus heavily on both short and long-term Dungeon Master memory, preventing the Dungeon Master from railroading players down campaign paths that they don’t want to pursue, and general Dungeon Master response times.

We’ve worked to make it so the Dungeon Master remembers all details, both big and small, and surfaces them at the right times, ensuring that NPCs act in ways that make sense, and that players can follow whatever plot they want without the Dungeon Master forcing them down a specific campaign path.

We’ve also improved the Dungeon Master response speed by about 10 seconds per round.

Additionally, we are actively reworking all historical systems one-by-one until they are bulletproof. Next up is the quest, rumors, and bounties system.
