Hey travelers, Old Greg here.
November was a month of major releases. We shipped Bounties, the Economy, completely revamped Quests, and more. Here's what landed and what's coming next.
Bounties
Bounties are community-created quests that earn you credits for OGT rounds when you complete them.
Creating a bounty costs 1 credit and goes into a weekly pot. At the end of each week, all credits in the pot get paid out to the community based on how many bounties each player completed, how many players completed your bounty, and how many bounties you created.
Last week we paid out 292 credits across the community. This week we're on track to pay out over 500.

Economy
Old Greg's Tavern now has a full economy. Every item in the game has a value and can be traded with NPCs. Every NPC has their own inventory and will haggle with you using the new Bartering skill.
We've also added stolen goods and fences—specific NPCs who'll trade in hot merchandise without asking questions.
Quest rewards are no longer limited to weapons and armor. Now you can earn any item or gold for your trouble.

Quests
We rebuilt quests from the ground up. They're now problems to be solved and mysteries to be explored, not just tasks to complete.
All quests start as rumors. You can ask for them, overhear them in conversation, or find them anywhere in the realm. Every rumor points you toward the right person to talk with to start the official quest.
Once you speak with the quest giver, they'll tell you the reward and send you on your way. When you finish, return to them to claim what you've earned.

What’s Next for OGT
NPCs are up next. We're working on two major upgrades that'll ship in the coming weeks: individual NPC relationships and the ability to add NPCs to your party.
Each NPC will have a relationship meter tracking how they feel about you at a granular level. Every action you take will shift their opinion. How an NPC feels about you will directly affect their willingness to help, quest with you, or engage in other... romantic endeavors.
If an NPC's relationship level gets high enough, you'll be able to officially add them to your adventuring party. You'll edit their inventories, engage with them more meaningfully, have them fight alongside you in combat, and more.
Discord
Hang out in the Tavern even when you’re not in the Tavern! Join our Discord to chat with other players about the game, find campaigns to join, or suggest what you want to see added next to OGT!
May your dice roll high and your ale never run dry.
Cheers,
Old Greg
