Hey travelers, Old Greg here.
This week brings three more updates: we continued to improve campaign memory, completely updated how quests, bounties, and rumors work behind the scenes to improve their reliability, and added advantage/disadvantage to rolls!
Let’s dive in.
Improved Quests, Rumors, and Bounties
Quests, rumors, and bounties have historically ~sometimes~ worked, but not always. One of the largest player pain points has historically been completing quests or bounties and the game not registering the quest or bounty as completed, or the rumor as not promoted into a quest.
We have rebuilt the quests, rumors, and bounties system from the ground up, focusing on maximum reliability. The system now tracks correctly when you’ve completed the objective, adds leads correctly, promotes rumors to quests correctly, and rewards you correctly.
Advantage and Disadvantage
OGT now supports advantage and disadvantage on dice rolls!
Automatically, based on the environment and situation, advantage or disadvantage will be applied to your dice rolls in OGT, rolling two dice instead of one, and picking either the higher or lower of the two depending on whether you have advantage or disadvantage!
Download OGT on iOS and Android
You can now play OGT on your Apple and Android devices!
All of your campaigns, credits, and players transfer to the mobile apps - and any progress you make on the mobile apps will transfer back to the web if you want to switch between!
Creator Program
Get paid to play OGT! We’re beginning to pay creators to post short TikTok and Instagram videos to help other potential players find OGT!
There’s no TikTok or Instagram posting experience required, all posting will be on new accounts (so it won’t impact your personal accounts), and current creators are making $100-$150/week and working 60-90 minutes/week.
Discord
Hang out in the Tavern even when you’re not in the Tavern! Join our Discord to chat with other players about the game, find campaigns to join, or suggest what you want to see added next to OGT!
May your dice roll high and your ale never run dry.
Cheers,
Old Greg
