Hey travelers, Old Greg here.
This week brings one of our biggest overhauls yet: a complete reimagining of how quests work, plus the ability to fix your DM's memory when it gets things wrong. Let's dive in.
Quests Start as Rumors
By popular demand, we've completely reworked how quests work in Old Greg's Tavern.
All quests now begin as rumors. You'll overhear them across the bar, hear them directly from NPCs, find them scrawled on maps—they're everywhere, waiting to be discovered.

Every rumor points to an NPC who holds the full story. Talk to them, and they'll lay out the problem and specify your reward. That's when the rumor becomes an official quest.
As you progress, the game automatically tracks notes and discoveries for you. We've reframed quests as problems to be solved, which means you can approach them however you imagine—diplomacy, deception, brute force, or something cleverer.
When you finish, return to the quest-giver for your reward. It'll be narratively consistent with what's happening in your story, not just a generic payout.

Take Control of Your DM's Memory
We're continuing our mission to make memory in OGT bulletproof, and this week's update puts you in the driver's seat.
You can now add, edit, and delete memories the DM has tracked. Missed an important detail? Add it yourself. Got something wrong? Fix it. Want to clean up outdated information? Delete it.
Find the new Memories tab in your Campaign Leader Controls and take full control of what your DM remembers.

Food & Drink Now Heal You
Eating and drinking now regenerate health!
Last week, we introduced consumable health and soul potions with the Economy update. This week, we're extending that system: food and drink now heal you when consumed.
Pick them up around the realm or purchase them from any NPC who'd normally sell provisions. No more lugging around a roast chicken for roleplay purposes—now it actually keeps you alive.

Hang out in the Tavern even when you’re not in the Tavern! Join our Discord to chat with other players about the game, find campaigns to join, or suggest what you want to see added next to OGT!
May your dice roll high and your ale never run dry.
Cheers,
Old Greg
